Description (partial)

Symptom:
Customer is unable to upgrade their Security Management (SMA / M-Series) Appliance and is seeing many of the following line in the updater_logs:
Warning: Network Participation: failed to connect to host: update-manifests.ironport.com port: 443, error: SSL error: DNS lookup failed

Conditions:
SMA is running version 7.9.0 and is configured to gather updates and upgrade informaiton through a proxy address
