Known Affected Releases
Symptoms: 2 hardware alarms in the Web UI of the USRM under Platform > Server > Hardware - VCoreStatus = Fault - IntrusionStatus = Intrusion in USRM version 1.7.2, 1.7.1-12, 1.7.1. Conditions: Determine the Dell "Product Name" (Hardware version) of the USRM server that is showing these 2 alarms using the following command at the Linux command prompt: dmidecode -t 1 Example: # dmidecode -t 1 # dmidecode 2.7 SMBIOS 2.6 present. Handle 0x0100, DMI type 1, 27 bytes. System Information Manufacturer: Dell Inc. Product Name: PowerEdge R210 Version: Not Specified Serial Number: DGWNTQ1 UUID: 44454C4C-4700-1057-804E-C4C04F545131 Wake-up Type: Power Switch SKU Number: Not Specified Family: Not Specified If the Dell "Product Name" (Hardware version) is "R210", then there is a known issue with USRM 1.7.2, 1.7.1-12, 1.7.1, and the Dell IPMI information (Intelligent Platform Management Interface). Basically, Dell changed the data order between the 860 and R210 servers. USRM 1.7.2, 1.7.1-12, 1.7.1 expects the data to be in the 860 order so when it gets the data in the R210 order, it incorrectly alarms. This has been fixed in USRM 1.7.3.
