Symptom: When the Snort is inspecting a high speed and dense traffic it may become overloaded. This overloading is indicated by saturating it's CPU core. At this point package may be dropped and packet latency increases. Actual Result: Snort bogs-down, drops packets, and produces high packet throughput latency. Conditions: Send a Snort instance heavy traffic, to the point of saturation.
