Last Modified

Oct 13, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco Nexus 9000 Series Switches

Known Affected Releases

14.1(2x)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
For all L3 multicast traffic origionating within ACI and destined to a group located behind the l3out it is 100% blackhold. The traffic is being sent from the ServerLeaf towards the BorderLeaf but it is not being forwarded out of the L3out interfaces.

The source IP which is connected to the ACI ServerLeaf is not shown within the endpoint database of the BorderLeaf.

This only affects l3 multicast traffic origionating from within ACI and destined to a group external. The reverse process and POD to POD l3 multicast works without any loss.

Conditions:
When IP Data-Plane Learning is disabled under the VRF.
