Last Modified

Sep 23, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco Identity Services Engine

Known Affected Releases

3.0(0.456)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
ISE 3.0 upgrade document shows wrong command location

The below is the note seen in ISE 3.0 upgrade guide :

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/ise/3-0/upgrade_guide/HTML/b_upgrade_method_3_0.html#id_15402

Under this section :

Roll Back to the Previous Version of ISO Image

In rare cases, you might have to reimage the Cisco ISE-PIC appliance by using the previous version of ISO image and restoring the data from the backup file. After restoring the data, you can register with the old deployment. Hence, we recommend that you back up the Cisco ISE-PIC configuration data before you start the upgrade process.

The wrongly documented content is as follows :

1)reimage the Cisco ISE-PIC appliance

2)Cisco ISE-PIC configuration

It should be as :

1)reimage the Cisco ISE appliance
2)Cisco ISE configuration

This is not PIC specific Guide it is Cisco ISE normal upgrade guide. Correct it.
