Cisco Bug: CSCvv75287 - DOC: Remove Upgrade Patch Instructions from Release Notes, redirect to N9K Upgrade/Downgrade Guide

Last Modified

Sep 30, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco Nexus 9000 Series Switches

Known Affected Releases

7.0(3)I7(9)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Some Cisco Nexus 9000 Release Notes contained an "Upgrade Patch Instructions" section. This section was migrated to the Cisco Nexus 9000 Upgrade and Downgrade Guide for each respective NX-OS software release as part of CSCvv75177. To reduce the size of release notes and increase consistency in release note documentation, the "Upgrade Patch Instructions" section is removed from all Cisco Nexus 9000 Release Notes. Customers are encouraged to review the "Upgrade Patch Instructions" section of the Cisco Nexus 9000 Upgrade and Downgrade Guide for their respective release for information about upgrade patches.

Conditions:
Issue is observed when attempting to upgrade a Nexus 9000 Series switch from NX-OS software release 7.0(3)I1(2), 7.0(3)I1(3), or 7.0(3)I1(3a) to any other NX-OS software release.
