Description (partial)

If a ping is initiated using the CISCO-PING-MIB (OID to a destination which is not reachable, the raw_ip process restarts. The ping request fails.

This issue is only present on the Cisco 8000 and Network Convergence System 540L platforms. The issue is only present if the ping is initiated via the CISCO-PING-MIB, which requires that SNMP write access has granted, for example by configuring <CmdBold>snmp community<noCmdBold> <CmdArg>community-string<noCmdArg> <CmdBold>RW<noCmdBold>.

Standard ping and traceroute commands executed from the Exec CLI and Netconf are not affected.
