Cisco Bug: CSCvv74813 - raw_ip process restarts while executing getmany for Ping Mib
Oct 12, 2020
- Cisco 8000 Series Routers
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: If a ping is initiated using the CISCO-PING-MIB (OID 126.96.36.199.188.8.131.52.16) to a destination which is not reachable, the raw_ip process restarts. The ping request fails. Conditions: This issue is only present on the Cisco 8000 and Network Convergence System 540L platforms. The issue is only present if the ping is initiated via the CISCO-PING-MIB, which requires that SNMP write access has granted, for example by configuring <CmdBold>snmp community<noCmdBold> <CmdArg>community-string<noCmdArg> <CmdBold>RW<noCmdBold>. Standard ping and traceroute commands executed from the Exec CLI and Netconf are not affected.
