Cisco Bug: CSCvv73968 - 1562 MAP adjacency bounces due to lost keepalives and CAPWAP timeout with Ethernet Bridging enabled
Oct 16, 2020
- Cisco Aironet 1850 Series Access Points
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: 1562 MAP will join the RAP (1572) with good SNR of 40 or 45 dBm but MAP will lose CAPWAP keepalives to the point that CAPWAP times out. During that time, the mesh link is still up and SSH access remains, but ping packet loss is experienced too. After a few minutes, MAP will rejoin RAP and the cycle repeats. If 1562 is swapped and connected as RAP, it will also drop the connection to the 1572 MAP. Deployment works fine with IOS mesh APs, issue surfaced when this model was deployed. Conditions: Ethernet Bridging enabled.
