Cisco Bug: CSCvv69145 - IGMP-memebership-report from receiver looped back over EVPN-AA to the receiver
Oct 01, 2020
- Cisco ASR 9000 Series Aggregation Services Routers
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: IGMP-memebership-report (IGMP-join) packets from receivers are looped back to receivers AC-PE1 —EVPN— PE2-AC. Conditions: Two ASR9k in EVPN-AA setup with anycast IRB are connecting L2 mcast receivers. With IGMP-snooping-profile the two EVPN-AA PE routers are synchronizing IGMP, while only the DF sends the multicast stream downstream to hosts. The issue is triggered when receiver is switching TV channels, the receiver is using (*,G) IGMPv2 that is mapped to (S,G) on the PE router. Issue is triggered between after 10-30 TV-channel changes, so the forwarding is programmed for looping only in transient period.
