Cisco Bug: CSCvv63523 - VPC peerlink Port-channel goes down when upgraded to 7.0(3)I7(8) with lacp system-prorioty
Sep 23, 2020
- Cisco Nexus 3000 Series Switches
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: - Once the switches are upgraded to 7.0(3)I7(8), "lacp system-mac 0000.0000.0800 role secondary" is automatically added to the configuration on both switches. - Then both switches will have same lacp system-identifier values and the VPC peerlink Port-channel between these switches won't be coming up and will put interfaces in suspended state. - We will not be able to change the lacp system-priority value, and lacp system-mac command can not be removed/changed. lacp system-priority 24576 lacp system-mac 0000.0000.0800 role secondary show lacp system-identifier 24576,0-0-40-1b-8-0 <<<------- lacp system-priority is 24576 sa-ontor8-01-10(config)# lacp system-priority 32768 <<<<<----------- change it to 32768 sa-ontor8-01-10(config)# show lacp system-identifier 24576,0-0-40-1b-8-0 <<<<<<---- no effect sa-ontor8-01-10(config)# no lacp system-mac 0000.0000.0800 role secondary ERROR: Unknown/Invalid config command ID 4 Conditions: - N3K-3048 Switches running 7.0(3)I4(8) and "lacp system-priority" configured with same value on both VPC peer switches.
