Cisco Bug: CSCvv58034 - Native VLANs for VXLAN are not supported on non-Cloudscale platforms (EX/FX/FX2/FX3/GX)
Sep 23, 2020
- Cisco Nexus 9000 Series Switches
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: Native VLANs for VXLAN are not supported. All traffic on VXLAN Layer 2 trunks needs to be tagged. This limitation is applicable to Cisco Nexus 9300 and 9500 switches with 95xx line cards. This is not applicable to Cisco Nexus 9200, 9300-EX, 9300-FX, and 9500 platform switches with -EX or -FX line cards. This is a documentation bug, which is raised in order to get clarification for the statement we can found in "Cisco Nexus 9000 Series NX-OS VXLAN Configuration Guide, Release 7.x" and not in same guide for Releases 9.2.x and 9.3.x. We would like to add similar statement to these newer releases. Conditions: VLAN associated to any VNI is used as native VLAN in a trunk port.
