Cisco Bug: CSCvv57827 - CSM: ENH to allow discovery settings in Administrator to be relevant per device

Last Modified

Sep 03, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco Security Manager

Known Affected Releases

4.20(0.304)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
In a situation where a large configuration with consolidated object groups are imported in CSM, the global CSM setting under Security Manager Administration > Discovery > Object group parameters may expand the configuration to make it large enough to cause deployment issues over the network or vice-versa causing a large deployment delta to be generated on discovery.
If the discovery settings are allowed to be selected per discovery or be relevant per device, the generation of such large delta can be avoided and the discovery of a device in CSM can be more seamless.

Conditions:
Device configuration with large unconsolidated objects or device configurations with large number of expanded ACLs with consolidated object groups.
