Cisco Bug: CSCvv57639 - Saving command with parenthesis in TACACS command set gives an error (ISE 2.7 p2)

Last Modified

Oct 23, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco Identity Services Engine

Known Affected Releases

2.7(0.902)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
There are two flavors of this issue: with newly created commands and commands that were defined before the upgrade.

Newly created commands:

1. Navigate tot Work Centers > Device Administration > Policy Elements > Results > TACACS Command Sets.2
2. Define new command with parenthesis and click check mark to save the command, after that error ?You have entered an invalid character? will pop up (screenshot 1).

Commands that were defined before the upgrade:

1. Navigate to Navigate to Work Centers > Device Administration > Policy Elements > Results > TACACS Command Sets
2. Make any change to the existing Command Set (so that ?Save? button is active)
3. Click on ?Save? and error ? Line <>: ‘<>' You have entered an invalid character' will appear (screenshot 2).

Thus having commands with parenthesis, makes it impossible to edit the command set after upgrade.

Conditions:
ISE 2.7 patch 2
