Cisco Bug: CSCvv57597 - ENH: NTP Time synchronization check during FTD cluster creation on FPR devices

Last Modified

Sep 03, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco Firepower 9300 Series

Known Affected Releases

2.8(1.125)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
During the process of creation FTD cluster on FPR9k devices, when the second device is going to be added to the cluster, there is no warning that time on both appliances is not synchronized (i.e. the NTP configuration is missing on the one device) and the time on chassis differs.
The configuration can't be saved and the cluster can't be successfully formed.

The error message that can be seen is not related to the time but to the invalid IPv4 address: "IPv4 address 0.0.0.0 specified is not valid for logical device.."

Conditions:
Time not synchronized on both FPR devices
