Symptom: The Internal-Data0/0 interface is flapping during SMB file transfer and the following syslog message is being generated: Aug 29 2020 09:50:22: %FTD-4-411002: Line protocol on Interface Internal-Data0/0, changed state to down Aug 29 2020 09:50:24: %FTD-4-411001: Line protocol on Interface Internal-Data0/0, changed state to up In addition, when Internal-Data0/0 interface is down, all data interfaces have the same state: firepower# sh int ip brief Interface IP-Address OK? Method Status Protocol Internal-Data0/0 unassigned YES unset down down < Ethernet1/1 10.48.23.173 YES CONFIG down down < Ethernet1/2 192.168.1.1 YES CONFIG down down < Ethernet1/3 192.168.10.1 YES CONFIG down down < This defect may cause several connectivity issues including VPN flaps and connection drops. Conditions: ASA or FTD is deployed on the FPR1010 platform. SMB traffic through the firewall is being forwarded.
