Description (partial)

Symptom:
When trying to import phone Book in SPOG, the server prompts for a username/password with this message "The server is asking for your user name and password. the server reports that it is from Basic Authentication." 

SPOG > Desktop > Resources > Import Phonebook

Conditions:
PCCE 12.5

+ The prompt for user name/password is for Windows Security for Explorer.exe is not defined by customer anywhere. Still tried using the PCCE admin credentials and it fails. Tried different combinations of the username/password with & without domain etc, upn, none worked.
+ Login into diagnostic portico works fine, where we are prompted for a similar username/password.
