Symptom: After primary link goes down and network is converging through backup link, you will see the subnet go stuck-in-active: switch1(config)# show ip eigrp topology active A 10.10.10.10/32, 1 successors, FD is 103583 1 replies, active 00:00:16, query-origin: Multiple Origins via 10.0.0.2 (154351/154095), Ethernet1/1, serno 25501 Remaining replies: via 10.0.1.1, r, Ethernet1/2 switch2(config)# show ip eigrp topology active A 10.10.10.10/32, 1 successors, FD is 260584959(2035819) 1 replies, active 00:00:02, query-origin: Successor Origin , via 10.0.2.1 (260584959/259929599), Vlan1 , via 10.0.0.1 (Infinity/Infinity), r, Ethernet1/1, serno 15218 switch3(config)# show ip eigrp topology active A 10.10.10.10/32, 1 successors, FD is 259929599(2030699) 1 replies, active 00:00:03, query-origin: Successor Origin , via 10.0.1.1 (259929599/259274239), Ethernet1/1 , via 10.0.2.2 (Infinity/Infinity), r, Vlan1, serno 11719 Conditions: Mix of wide metric and narrow metric configured in a looped EIGRP network. Offset-list out configured on a switch with wide metric.
