Last Modified

Oct 23, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco ASR 9000 Series Aggregation Services Routers

Known Affected Releases

6.4.2.CE

Description (partial)

Symptom:
When we have a lableled uni-cast address family BGP session on a sub interface, with QoS policiy configured on the main interface (Bundle Interface), We notice that the VLAN CoS field does not get updated correctly based on the main interface's QoS Policy Map. It is set to 5 and not the CoS value as set in the QoS Policy. The eBGP session is over a labelled path. (next hop is reachable via labeled path)

Symptoms
1) For the locally originated protocol packets, for eBGP session keep alive, we see the VLAN's CoS is set to 5 instead of 6, when the session is over a labelled path
2) For the locally originated protocol packets, eBGP keep alive, and other protocols packets, the VLAN CoS is set correctly to 6 when the session is over an IP path.

Conditions:
ASR9000 configured with the following
1) eBGP session with lableld unicast address family on Bundle SubInterface (VLAN)
2) Session/next hop is over labelled path
3) Running version 6.4.2
