Cisco Bug: CSCvv50305 - L3out's Interface Profiles: SVI/Routed sub-interfaces/Routed Interfaces Ip address assignment

Last Modified

Aug 26, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco Application Policy Infrastructure Controller (APIC)

Known Affected Releases

4.1(2m) 4.2(3l)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Under Logical Interface Profiles, the SVI /Routed Interfaces/Routed Sub-Intefaces Ip Addresses should be defined once as parent object then user can attach the interfaces or VPCs to the SVI/Routed Interfaces/Routed Sub-Intefaces as children. As per the customer, the repeating of adding the SVI IP's ( in the case of using the same vlan on 4 different paths across 2 differnt leafs as shown in attached screenshot) seems to go against the configuration an object once and reuse philosophy of ACI.

Conditions:
The same vlan is configured on different paths as an SVI.
