Last Modified

Sep 09, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco Unified Contact Center Enterprise

Known Affected Releases

12.5(1)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
If browser cache is changed once from the default value, it cant be changed back to 2 GB, then the only option is to set in the range of 0 to 562500 KB only.

Conditions:
Hello Experts,

One of my cx was trying to set the vvb browser cache to value to 200000 but it gave them the error :
Please enter value range from 0 to 562500 kb, the command failed.

I did some testing in my lab on different versions ? 11.6, 12.0 and 12.5 on VVB to see the results I get:

Default values show as (show vvb cache browser_cache_size)

Version 11.6 ? 512000 KB
Version 12.0 ? 512000 KB
Version 12.5 ? 2048000 KB

Now, I tried to see what’s the maximum value I can increase this value to on each version :

Version 11.6 :-

admin:set vvb cache browser_cache_size 1000000
Please enter values in the range of 0 to 562500 KB
Command failed.

Version 12.0:

admin:set vvb cache browser_cache_size 1000000
Please enter values in the range of 0 to 562500 KB
Command failed.

Version 12.5:
Default value for show command here was 2048000. I tried to set to 3000000, same output as below. We changed it to 562500, it worked and now we can’t change it back to 2048000. We also tried to reset the command but it still is keeping the 562500 value.

admin:set vvb cache browser_cache_size 1000000
Please enter values in the range of 0 to 562500 KB
Command failed.

Current value:
admin:show vvb cache browser_cache_size
512000 KB
Command successful.
