Cisco Bug: CSCvv48451 - Need to enable the IPv6 stateless SLAAC with the DNS option
Aug 28, 2020
- Cisco DNA Center
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: Some users prefer to use SLAAC to assign the IPv6 address to the client, and they prefer to have one DHCPv6 server to assign the DNSv6 information to all the SLAAC clients. But the client failed to get a DNS entry with the default configuration as below in the current Cisco DNA Center release. If the "no ipv6 nd managed-config-flag" is used under the VLAN, then the client can get IPv6 from SLAAC, and also the DNSv6 entry from the DHCPv6 server. Cisco DNA Center should take care that the related configuration to support SLAAC with the DNSv6 option is provisioned to managed devices. Conditions: This was observed in Cisco DNA Center 126.96.36.199.
