Cisco Bug: CSCvv48000 - DOC: Administrative script overrides Outbound API paragraph missing in 12.0 or later versions

Last Modified

Sep 11, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco Unified Contact Center Enterprise

Known Affected Releases

12.0(1) 12.5(1)

Description (partial)

Documentation defect

Symptom:
In 11.6 Outbound API guide, the following is mentioned:

Administrative scripts are not required for Outbound Option campaigns created with the Outbound API. If an administrative script is provided, the information in the script overrides the information defined in the API.

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cust_contact/contact_center/icm_enterprise/icm_enterprise_11_6_1/Program/Guide/ucce_b_developer-reference-11-6/ucce_b_cisco-unified-contact-center-enterprise_chapter_010011.html

This paragraph, however, has been removed from the newer Outbound API guides (12.0 and 12.5), creating confusion on how Outbound API operates when there is an administrative script in newer versions, so it should be added back.

Conditions:
12.0 and 12.5 Outbound API Developer Guide Documentation
