Last Modified

Products (1)

  • Cisco Webex Meetings Online

Known Affected Releases

unspecified

Description (partial)

Symptom:
The Webex Desktop application logins to the user and redirects them to their IdP, but then the user's IdP displays the message: "You are using an outdated (and likely insecure) browser which must be updated. You will be blocked from accessing confidential information if you do not update".

Conditions:
Windows Desktop App will use Internet Explorer as default browser when authenticating to user's IDP/SSO. This is a security issue for user's IT since they have dropped Internet Explorer support. MSFT announced Internet Explorer EOL by Aug 17, 2021.
