Cisco Bug: CSCvv43934 - Feature Request: Separate error message for failed login to ISE
Aug 26, 2020
- Cisco DNA Center
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: Cisco DNA Center/ISE failed integration throws the generic error message, "Unable to connect to ISE. Minimum supported versions are 2.4P7/2.6P1 or above." It was later found that the root cause was ISE had changes to password complexity rules, which made the previous login passwords that were used for adding to Cisco DNA Center invalid. This request is for a separate or clearer error message to be thrown in the UI to identify when the problem is due to login credentials failure instead of version mismatch. Conditions: Observed In Cisco DNA Center 126.96.36.199, integrated with ISE 2.6 patch 6.
