Cisco Bug: CSCvv36089 - Update DNAC UI to show port-channel mode ON supported for IE3300 Extended node
Sep 23, 2020
- Cisco DNA Center
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: DNAC UI shows under Fabric provisioning for Extended node that port-channel mode On doesn't support Extended node. On the other side DNAC user guide states following: For IE 3300 or IE 3400 extended nodes, select On as the protocol. For other extended nodes, select PAGP as the protocol. This is misleading and should be corrected on DNAC UI as mode On is the supported mode for IE3300 Extended node. Conditions: Fabric Onboarding of IE3300 as Extended node fails. We get below error while onboarding IE3300 as Extended node in SDA Fabric: Extended node onboarding failed for device with serial number:xxxxxxx with error:Incompatible Pre-existing port-channel Configuration: Port-channel1 has protocol:PAGP. Extended node requires protocol:STATIC for IE 3K series devices with software version:16.12.2t. Restart workflow after resolving failure by following these steps: Delete device from provision in Cisco DNA Center. On extended device issue write erase and reload command to reset.
