Cisco Bug: CSCvv33621 - vftd: diskmanager monitoring doesnt work correctly on upgrade
Sep 02, 2020
- Sourcefire Defense Center
Known Affected Releases
The Virtual FTD distributions upgraded to the 6.6.1 software release may experience disk usage alerts some time after the upgrade because temporary run-time files are not removed from the /ngfw/var/sf directory after the 6.6.1 upgrade event until either the system is restarted or the disk usage manager process is restarted.. Symptom: The Virtual FTD device may experience a disk usage warning after upgrading to the 6.6.1 software. Conditions: The conditions when this might occur is after an existing Virtual FTD unit is upgraded to the 6.6.1 release and the device is not restarted at all. Due to a patch installation timing issue the disk usage manager process does not pick up the the /ngfw/var/sf directory to monitor and manage on the first try and files under this directory can grow unbounded until either the disk usage manager process is restarted.
