- Sourcefire Defense Center
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: Newly installed and locally managed FTD devices such as the ASA55XX, FP1010, FP11XX and FP21XX devices are not able to Security intelligence updates through the "Outside" data port if the FTD Management port does not have an IP address. The FTD management port IP address first needs to be assigned statically or configured to have a DHCP assigned address and having the Management port connected to the network so that it can reach the DHCP server. The "outside" data port functionality depends upon the Management port having an IP address before becoming operational. Conditions: The management interface has never had an address assigned.
