Description (partial)

Symptom:
vManage API call showed error message "Exceeded possible number of hits to the API".

When this query is performed by a server to run against the vManage an error message is produced:

Tunnel Stats Query -    https://x.x.x.x:443/dataservice/data/device/statistics/approutestatsstatistics?count=10000&startDate=2020-05-18T11:00:00&endDate=2020-05-18T11:30:00

Error message:

Conditions:
Attached the admin-tech from VManage.

->Analyzed logs which cover the period from 2020-07-03 to 2020-07-20. Observed that during this period
 
1. API /dataservice/data/device/statistics/approutestatsstatistics failed twice on vManage on 09-Jul-2020 06:33:33 and 09-Jul-2020 08:12:06. This would have locked out the API from further usage until a app server restart was done.
 
2. API /dataservice/data/device/statistics/devicesystemstatusstatistics failed once on vManage on 18-Jul-2020 20:30:31. This would have reduced the number of allowed active calls to this API to only 1.
 
3. Both calls failed without clearing out API call count. Please note these counts are for the whole system and not per session.

-> There was failure on vManage for API /dataservice/data/device/statistics/approutestatsstatistics on 09-Jul-2020 06:33:33 and 09-Jul-2020 08:12:06
->And for /dataservice/data/device/statistics/devicesystemstatusstatistics at 18-Jul-2020 20:30:31
->So the approutestatsstatistics API would have stopped working for customer after 09-Jul-2020 08:12:06 and they would have just got rate limiting response
