Cisco Bug: CSCvv14988 - UFI:BGP PIC convergence of 4-5 secs for VPNv6 prefix
Sep 17, 2020
- Cisco ASR 9000 Series Aggregation Services Routers
Known Affected Releases
Release-note Symptom: The symptoms of this issue will be that even though FRR is enabled, traffic loss might still be seen. Conditions: The logic that caused this issue was introduced in 7.1.2 and 7.2.1. This is Platform independent code so can affect any platform. It can happen both for v4 and v6. FIB has to get a BFD down notification with a prefix/interface combo that is not registered for FRR in the same bulk event as a prefix/interface combo that is registered for FRR. You might see the following trace in show cef trace. But this trace by itself always doesn't mean that you have encountered the issue. It's just an additional thing to check. "FRR-ERR: bfd-failed input-pfx=<some pfx value>/128, in-ll=0, db-ll=0"
