  • Cisco IOS

Known Affected Releases

Description (partial)

Symptom:
After switching to IBNS2.0 there is a difference in terms of executing SNMPSET for OID 1.0.8802.1.1.1.1.2.1.1.6. This OID is used to force authorize the port on the switch.
After moving to IBNS2.0 even though in terms of functionality it does authorize the port but it doesnt remove the command "access-session port-control auto" from the interface config for which this OID was used.
This used to work in legancy IBNS1.0 where it also used to remove the command "authentication port-control auto"

Conditions:
Switch running IBNS2.0. Issue on both IOS XE and IOS
