- Cisco 8000 Series Routers
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: After RP switchover, the GISO label is no longer seen in commands such as <cmdBold>show version<noCmdBold>. This can happen in various scenarios. Conditions: LNT platforms with multiple RPs. Full conditions are available on the DDTSs CSCvv04876, CSCvv07141 and CSCvt38596. As a summary, this issue may be seen when * An RPFO occurs following PXE/USB boot of a golden ISO. After the switchover, <cmdBold>show version<noCmdBold> does not display the correct gISO label. * An install replace operation changes the gISO label but does not prompt a reload or restart of the install infra upon apply. After RPFO occurs twice, <cmdBold>show version<noCmdBold> does not display the correct gISO label. * An RP is added to the system with the same software version as the active RP (so that the new RP is diskbooted rather than being PXE booted). RPFO may result in <cmdBold>show version<noCmdBold> displaying the incorrect gISO label. * The system has been booted with a non-golden ISO, and an RPFO occurs following an install replace operation to a golden ISO. Then, <cmdBold>show version<noCmdBold> may display the incorrect gISO label.
