Cisco Bug: CSCvv06520 - SSMS Classic 5.1 with MSLA enabled failed to synchronise with CSSM
Aug 25, 2020
- Cisco Smart Software Manager
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: Cisco Smart Software Manager Satellite (SSMS) Classic 5.1, with MSLA enabled, failed to synchronize with Cisco Smart Software Manager (CSSM). Deployed classic SSMS 5.1 and registered successfully with the CSSM virtual account (VA). The VA is MSLA enabled, and a subscription based license is hosted. Registered CSRv routers with the utility feature, and license by usage was consumed by the device for some days, initially. Then after June 26th, 2020, the SSMS sync failed to CSSM, and it can be seen that the CSSM VA shows a prepaid license, where the Satellite still shows by usage. If sync fails for 30 days, Satellite will move the device to prepaid, from by usage, and some reporting will stop working. This will cause an outage. Conditions: SSMS Classic 5.1 with MSLA enabled failed to synchronise with CSSM. Deployed classic SSMS 5.1 and registered successfully with CSSM VA . VA is MSLA enabled and subscription based license is hosted. Registered CSRv Routers with utility feature and license by usage was consumed by device for initial some days. Post June 26th 2020, SSMS sync failed to CSSM and we can see CSSM VA showing prepaid license where satellite still shows by usage. If sync fails for 30 days, Satellite would move device to prepaid from by usage and rum reporting stops working. This will cause outage.
