Cisco Bug: CSCvv04477 - [721/7014]Incorrect credits provided for OQ's with smaller queue-limit values
Oct 07, 2020
- Cisco 8000 Series Routers
Known Affected Releases
7.0.14.BASE 7.2.1.BASE 7.2.12.BASE
Release-note Symptom: Scheduling not working as expected when configured queue-limit is less than 100 hbm blocks. Same issue can happen When queue-limit is not explicitly configured or configured in relative (time units) for queue s with smaller service rate. OQ's will not get the expected service rate due to this condition. Conditions: 2 conditions can lead to this issue: a. When configured queue-limit is less then 36Kbytes, scheduling does not work properly. b. If qlimit is not configured explicitly then default qlimit of 6ms will be used. For for Queue's with smaller service rate this can result in smaller queue size getting programmed (<36kbytes) and end up messing scheduling.
