Last Modified

Jul 20, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco Firepower Management Center

Known Affected Releases

6.4.0.8

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Adding a user in a Shell Filter in the FMC GUI to get CLI access for one specific user, we will get the user in /etc/passwd file. Once the user is removed from the Shell Filter, the user should be also removed from /etc/passwd file but it is not removed, due to this behaviour, the user is able to get CLI access.

Conditions:
- Have External Authentication enabled
- Trying to grant CLI access to a different user, not just "admin" user using Shell Filter.
- Changing/Deleting users from the Shell Filter
