Cisco Bug: CSCvu97473 - HSRP Config not removed when using Config-profile

Last Modified

Products (1)

  • Cisco Nexus 9000 Series Switches

Known Affected Releases

Description (partial)

Symptom:
SVI created via a config-profile that is applied. We then create the SVI manually and add HSRP configuration to it. After everything is up and working, we remove the SVI via "no int vlan x" and can see it removed from show run. However, HSRP is still active and configuration is still seen in sh run hsrp and sh run expand-port-profile. Can see that DME config still exists for HSRP after removing config from SVI.

Another way is to configure SVI in DCNM (config-profile) and apply HSRP configurations via Freeform. After everything is configured, remove the HSRP config via Freeform and you will still see the configuration in sh run expand-port-profile.

Conditions:
SVI configuration created via config-profile and manually adding HSRP configuration via SVI.
or
SVI configuration pushed via DCNM (config-profile) and HSRP configuration pushed via Freeform.
