Last Modified

Sep 25, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco ASR 9000 Series Aggregation Services Routers

Known Affected Releases

7.2.1.ROUT

Description (partial)

Symptom:
When global-table-mvpn is enabled, bgp will send and receive all-zero-rd and all-one-rd mvpn routes. "show bgp ipv4 mvpn" will show all the routes for this address-family; "show bgp ipv4 mvpn rd <rd> <mvpn route>" should show the route specific info. Currently for global table mvpn routes (with all-zero-rd>, the show command is broken.

The following show command won't give the expected output:
show bgp ipv4 mvpn rd all-zero-rd =====> no net will show
show bgp ipv4 mvpn rd all-zero-rd <mvpn route> bestpath-compare ==> this net will show as not in table
show bgp ipv4 mvpn rd all-zero-rd <mvpn route> path-pelem ====> this net will show as not in table

Conditions:
global-table-multicast is enabled under bgp address-family ipv4 mvpn
