Description (partial)

Ethanalyzer is not capturing OSPF packets coming from M3 modules using capture-filters

This output shows that our Nexut 7K router has an M3 module in slot 3:

core9-1# show module
Mod Ports Module-Type Model Status
--- ----- ----------------------------------- ------------------ ----------
1 0 Supervisor Module-2 N7K-SUP2E active *
2 0 Supervisor Module-2 N7K-SUP2E ha-standby
3 48 1/10 Gbps Ethernet Module N7K-M348XP-25L ok
4 6 10/40 Gbps Ethernet Module N7K-M206FQ-23L ok
5 6 10/40 Gbps Ethernet Module N7K-M206FQ-23L ok
6 24 10 Gbps Ethernet Module N7K-M224XP-23L ok

This is the configuration of vlan 3086:
core9-1# show run int vlan 3086

version 8.4(1)

interface Vlan3086
  description core91-bd111grn-lnk
  no shutdown
  mtu 9000
  ipv6 flow monitor Campus-Monitor-v6 input sampler Campus-Sampler
  ip address
  ip ospf cost 1000
  ip ospf network point-to-point
  ip router ospf 1 area
  ip pim sparse-mode

core9-1# show ip ospf neighbors vlan 3086
OSPF Process ID 1 VRF default
 Total number of neighbors: 1
Neighbor ID Pri State Up Time Address Interface 1 FULL/ - 30w2d Vlan3086

it works with display-filters:

OSPF# ethanalyzer local interface inband capture-filter "host and ip proto 89" limit-captured-frames 0
Capturing on inband

OSPF# ethanalyzer local interface inband display-filter "ip.src== and ospf" limit-captured-frames 0
