Known Affected Releases

16.9.5 Amsterdam-17.2.1r

Description (partial)

Symptom:
4-Octet AS Specific BGP extended community (RFC5668) shows incorrectly on IOS-XE devices.

Conditions:
This RFC5668 is supported on NX-OS and generic community can be tagged as below.

--------------------------------------------------------------
Example:
set extcommunity 4byteas-generic transitive 12345678:65330

On NX-OS it shows correctly as:

4BYTEAS-GENERIC:T:12345678:65330

However, IOS-XE devices display this as 0x204:64086:3943528129 which is non-compliant with RFC5668.
