Cisco Bug: CSCvu84213 - sh bgp policy: default-originate not run against its policy when configured with route-policy

Last Modified

Sep 25, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco ASR 9000 Series Aggregation Services Routers

Known Affected Releases

7.2.1.BASE

Description (partial)

Symptom:
When "show bgp vrf VRF_NAME policy neighbor a.b.c.d" is executed and a default-originate route-policy is configured under neighbor address-family, all prefixes are run against the outbound route-policy , except the default-originate 0.0.0.0/0 which is not run against any route-policy, hence it is not shown as really advertised if attributes had been modified by the policy.

Conditions:
default-originate route-policy configured under neighbor address-family.

For example :

router bgp 100
 vrf 1
  neighbor 10.0.1.1
   address-family ipv4 unicast
    default-originate route-policy defaultorig

route-policy defaultorig
  set community (22:22) additive
  set med 22
  set next-hop 10.1.1.1
end-policy
