Last Modified

Description (partial)

Symptom:
VPC over Fabric setup may notice intermittent connectivity towards host's residing behind virtual port-channels (VPC).
BGP EVPN route-type 2 MAC-IP entry for a host behind VPC is advertised with Primary IP address (PIP) of the VTEP instead of Virtual IP address (VIP). This may be last forever due to bug CSCvt59445 or flap from PIP to VIP entry for few seconds.

Conditions:
Virtual peer-link based VPC feature, VPC over Fabric
End host dual homed as VPC
reload of the switch (or complete disconnection from Fabric and end hosts)

Remote VTEP's will see Route-type 2 MAC-IP entry for affected host pointing to PIP address of the VTEP where host resides.
