Description (partial)

Cisco Webex Meeting Server (CWMS), users will not be able to start or join meetings after January 31st, 2021

All versions of Cisco Webex Meeting Server will be impacted.

To provide enhanced security across the Webex meetings, the Cisco Webex Meeting Server (CWMS) extensions for joining a meeting from common browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, & Edge Chromium) are changing. The Webex meetings browser extensions will be set to load only on domains. New extensions will be enforced/updated on January 31st, 2021. After this date, CWMS users will not be able to start or join meetings, unless they update the CWMS software.

Extensions are used for joining a meeting and playback of recorded meetings. When playing back a recording from the CWMS site, this new CWMS version is required to playback from the site. The ability to download ARF recordings for off-line playback is still available and is not affected by this change.

Microsoft Edge and Apple or Android mobile devices do not use extensions and are not affected by this change.
