Cisco Bug: CSCvu75772 - Switch may see Link Flaps with SFPs that don't squelch the RX Data Signal AND no cable connected
Sep 03, 2020
- Cisco Industrial Ethernet 4000 Series Switches
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: interface starts to flap without any fiber cable connection to the transceiver that is plugged into Fa1/6 , for example when GLC-FE-100FX is inserted. When a cable is inserted and port is shut/no shut to come out of err-disable state, no problem is seen. In future refer CSCvv47621 for bug commit Conditions: SFPs that don't squelch RX-LOS data signal AND with no cable connection. Problem may not happen until neighboring ports are also inserted with other sfps.
