Cisco Bug: CSCvu73433 - CBR-CCAP-LC-40G linecard reload with specific mixed-modulation DS controller configuration
Aug 20, 2020
- Cisco cBR Series Converged Broadband Routers
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: If LCHA is used - the line card will switch over to the redundant one, which will also reload in around 30 seconds - leaving both cards booting up. After the reboot - the line card having the config will keep reloading - unless the configuration is reverted (or at least one of the controllers is shutdown). The logs reported at the time: %IOSXE-3-PLATFORM: CLC2: cdman: DS-JIB:Consucutive 3 errored periods for 32:1:7 - reset CLC! %DSJIB-2-NMI_INTR: CLC2: cdman: DS-JIB UNRECOVERABLE [FATAL:Dq:High-Pri:Prate scheduling miss error tdiff:374 ] Count Conditions: Configuring 4 controllers Integrated-Cable from one of 2 groups (X/0/0-X/0/3 OR X/0/4-X/0/7) with specific DOCSIS 3.0 channel configuration - having multiple Annex A QAM channels with mixed modulations, some with 64-QAM and some with 256-QAM. The controllers need to be in the same group of four (e.g. configuring 3 controllers from group 0-3 and 3 others from 4-7 won't initiate the crash) and need to be active (not shutdown).
