Description (partial)

The cfmd process repeatedly restarts and performs a core dump. Syslogs indicating that an rlimit being reached by the cfmd process may also be seen.

The cfmd process restarts. A high number of malformed CFM/SLA packets are being punted to the cfmd process during the cfmd initialization procedure (~100,000 in a minute). A large number of SLA operations and CFM sessions are also configured (thus lengthening the cfmd initialization procedure).

If there are no malformed packets for CFM to deal with, then this issue will not be seen.
