Description (partial)

Symptom:
Refresh Upgrade of IM&P Publisher node from 11.5(1)SU6 to 12.5(1.12900-25) version fails unexpectedly hours in to the database component install.

The server automatically reverts back to the previous version 11.5(1)SU6 and in the install logs we can see the following failure..

06/11/2020 00:54:34 IPM|Internal Error, File:ipm.c:2011, Function: ipmReadNormalizedInputLine(), "/usr/local/cm/script/cm-dbl-install RU PostInstall 12.5.1.12900-25 11.5.1.16910-12 /usr/local/cm/ /common/component/database /common/log/install/capture.txt " failed (1)|<LVL::Critical>

Conditions:
This failure is seen in a CUCM IM&P Publisher with pretty heavily populated Database. The publisher is part of a 6 x Node IM&P cluster serving 36k users.

Since the install Logs does not indicate the failure is due to the common partition running out of disk space while performing the Refresh upgrade, one tell tale sign is the lack of installdb_ru.log

no such file or directory can be found

Note this file should be present on the inactivelog if the RU fails and we revert back to 11.5(1)SU6 version..
