We have seen customers giving supervisor roles to UCCE agents on ECE to overcome using UPN login name format and use just the userid for login instead.(User needs to have a UPN login on ICM for supervisors.)

Cisco Enterprise Chat and Email: Integrate Supervisor Accounts.

This release supports the import and integration of supervisor user accounts from CCE into ECE.
Supervisors that are imported from CCE into ECE are automatically assigned the ECE Supervisor role.
