Cisco Bug: CSCvu60329 - PCV job api wrongly accepts service chain config with "allow_unsupported_object_modification" true

Last Modified

Jul 03, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco Network Assurance Engine

Known Affected Releases

5.0(0)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
there may be false positive/negative events

Conditions:
Service chain related modifications can span across supported and unsupported objects.
PCA do not support modifications on service chain related changes on supported objects in this release.
If there are modifications related to service chain in unsupported objects and allow_unsupported_object_modification is false there will be a notification asking user's permission to remove the objects. But if the service chain related changes are in supported objects and allow_unsupported_object_modification is false then there will be an error message thrown and will not allow user to proceed.
But an API user use the API with allow_unsupported_object_modification true, pcv will remove unsupported objects without check whether the changes are related to service chain or not.
