Symptom: FPR2110 running FTD version 6.5.0.X start having many snmp cores and some specific SNMP failures: Exiting logger thread due to Shutdown /opt/ssp-mgmt-scripts/ssp_snmp_init: line 94: 31734 Segmentation fault (core dumped) $SNMPD Failed to bind ZeroMQ Socket : Cannot assign requested address : End Point : tcp://127.0.0.1:5558 /opt/ssp-mgmt-scripts/ssp_snmp_init: line 94: 7421 Segmentation fault (core dumped) $SNMPD Faults related to SNMP were shown: Warning F78672 [FSM:STAGE:REMOTE-ERROR]: Result: resource-unavailable Code: unspecified Message: Failed to set SNMP user(sam:dme:CommSvcEpUpdateSvcEp:SetEpLocal) Around 3K core.snmp found on dir cores: FXOS (local-mgmt)# dir cores core.snmpd.10012.1585762000.gz Conditions: Firepower 2100 with FTD and SNMP , Snmp v3 user of type priv/auth configured, priv/auth key length is updated by crypto api. In failure case crypto api returns -1 which resulted in length corruption leading to a crash.
