In rare instances, the FP4100 or FP9300 FTD Application stops processing traffic which results in a network outage and then the user is not able to login to the FTD application either via SSH nor connecting to the FTD Application via the Chassis Manager CLI using the "connect ftd" command to attach to the FTD Application from the chassis.

This problem occurs because the "syslog-ng" process stops functioning properly and start using 100% CPU to which it is assigned.  Because the "syslog-ng" is stuck the syslog-ng process cannot record new login connection events so that the login events are not allowed to proceed.  Since no logging is happening the services that want to log events to the system logging file can no longer proceed.
