Cisco Bug: CSCvu57689 - Enhancement for RTMT - Send alerts for SIP 4XX and 5XX messages in Call Manager logs

Last Modified

Jun 10, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)

Known Affected Releases

11.5(1.16900.17)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Enhancement request for RTMT

Would need an alert to be sent out whenever we see a SIP 4XX or 5XX message in the CUCM Call Manager logs, to be configured in RTMT as needed.

Basically, when a SIP 4xx message arrives and is seen on the Call Manager, this should trigger an alert.
Alerts can be like other alerts in RTMT - either email or RTMT alerts

For example:

15903443.001 |14:17:11.192 |AppInfo  |SIPTcp - wait_SdlSPISignal: Outgoing SIP TCP message to 178.215.139.16 on port 48045 index 321392
[198914950,NET]
SIP/2.0 503 Service Unavailable
Via: SIP/2.0/TCP
+++++++++++

15898039.001 |14:16:48.469 |AppInfo  |//SIP/SIPUdp/wait_SdlDataInd: Incoming SIP UDP message size 622 from 10.254.255.97:[32784]:
[198914478,NET]
SIP/2.0 404 Not Found
+++++++++++++++++++++

RTMT should detect these types of messages from the logs and send out alerts.
